The Royal Treatment by MaryJanice Davidson, 7Book Description: In a world nearly identical to ours, the North won the Civil War, Ben Affleck is the sexiest man alive, and Russia never sold Alaska to the U.S. Instead, Alaska is a rough, beautiful country ruled by a famously eccentric royal family, and urgently in need of a bride for the Crown Prince. But they have no idea what they?re in for when they offer the job to a feisty commoner...a girl who?s going to need...the royal treatment. Review: Didn?t like this quite as much as the other Davidson novels but her novels are reliably entertaining and this one is no different. The best thing about this novel is that it?s genuinely funny. Very few authors besides Davidson make me laugh out loud on a regular basis. The plot and characters were pleasantly quirky as well. I didn?t really care for the romance here but this book is a good bet for any Davidson fan. This book also reads a bit like an adult version of The Princess Diaries so older fans of that series may want to give it a chance. Category, Romance: Contemp| Link this entry? |
